Family Time

Ever since starting my own family, I have been strict with starting my own traditions that are important to me. One of those traditions is when we are altogether, we must eat together at the dinner table. As my husband is in the military, our days together are very few and far between sadly, so more often than not it's just me and Grace for days/weeks on end.

Statistics were recently released by Hipp Organic that only 25% of families actually manage to sit down and eat dinner 1-2 times a week. 90% of parents said that it was important to do this so it's very sad that we can't seem to find the time to do it.

Grace has a great appetite right now and I want to embrace it as much as possible as I know it may change at any time! On the days that we do eat together as a family, Grace eats the same things as us (or her own version of at least), but it's great to have the backup of having healthy delicious meals when I haven't had the time to cook her something healthy.

The HiPP Organic tray meals are healthy and nourishing with just the right tastes and textures to encourage the progression to family foods. They are the only brand to offer pasta shapes (zoo animals, alphabet, numbers), unique ‘Ristorante La Mamma’ range of traditionally rolled and layered meals.

Once HiPP's recipes are approved, tested and tested again, the finished products go through more than 260 quality controls in a state-of-the-art laboratory before they are approved to carry the HiPP label.

When Grace is old enough, I want to get her involved in the making process too to hopefully encourage her appetite to grow. Sitting down is important to me, but like most of the country, we rarely actually manage it. I vow to make more of an effort from this day forward!

Very soon, Grace will be in the care of a childminder half of the week, her daddy and then me the remaining time so her range of meals will expand even more. Our days off together will be even more rare, but we will treasure our time doing what we do best - eating out!

How often do you eat together as a family?
