L-R - Childs Farm Shampoo, E45 Junior Foaming Bath Milk, Cussons Mum & Me Baby Wash
As a naive (but very well organised) pregnant lady, I bulk bought and was given a lot Johnsons products. This was the first product we tried, just because we had so much of it. Instantly Grace's skin became red, inflamed and itchy. It made her eczema so much worse that we tried it again just to ensure that nothing else was the source of the problem, then eliminated their products from her routine.
Childs Farm is one of my favourite brands that I have used on Grace over the past few months, that my Mother-in-law introduced to me. Their scents don't irritate her skin and leave her feeling clean whilst keeping that lovely baby smell. E45 isn't a brand I'd usually use on Grace as the cream doesn't do much for her skin, but I thought I'd try this foaming bath milk as it is marketed for skin conditions. I've found it doesn't dry her skin out and gives plenty of bubbles!
Mum & Me is something I used during pregnancy as the smell is incredible, in particular on babies I'm sure. Only recently we have introduced this into our bathtime routine as I've felt confident that Grace's skin can tolerate it. The pump is the best part of the product, I wish more baby items came with a pump!
Earth Friendly Baby Soothing Chamomile Body Lotion, Aveeno Cream
Aveeno is an all round great product great for eczema patch flare ups. We haven't used this for long but it's worked brilliantly so far.
L-R Boots Baby Nappy Rash Spray, Boots Baby Sensitive Moisturising Bath, Boots Baby Sensitive Moisturising Head to Toe Wash
The nappy rash spray is my saviour and I have told everyone with babies to buy it! Rather than trying to pin your baby down to apply nappy rash cream, you just spray and go, no need to rub in! They're usually on offer for 2 for £3 or buy one get one half price so really affordable. These are products that will see us through while Grace is still fairly sensitive, although she's getting much better at tolerating more fragrance in products.
Each of these products are great for variety and to get her skin used to different ingredients so I like to mix them up in our routine. Which are your favourite bath toiletries? Have you tried any of the products I've talked about and liked/disliked them?
