37 Weeks Update

We're finally down to the weeks countdown, in fact, days away from meeting our princess. I couldn't be more excited. Whilst I think back to the beginning of the year when we found out we were expecting a baby; it's flown by, yet New Years Eve (the night we found out), feels so long ago.

Update: I drafted this post a couple of days ago but last night I had to go to the delivery suite with various bad pains. My lower back was in agony and the period type pains I'd been getting for a few days got progressively worse, as well as my Braxton Hicks contractions. I was strapped to the monitor, my bloods were taken and a urine sample but all came back fine. I was also examined where they told me I'm "on my way, but not quite there yet" and only 1cm effaced, so the pains were practice, false labour pains. We managed to get home and to bed around 3am and bed never felt so good! Things are picking up and baby is getting ready, but it could still be weeks away, who knows!

How far along? 38 Weeks! Wow.
Total weight gain: 16lbs.
Maternity clothes? Nope, I went to Primark this week and picked up more basic tops in bigger sizes as I'm really struggling to fit things now, even maternity items that I have.
Stretch marks? I feel like I've gained more, but who knows really. Maybe I'll share how bad they are one day..
Sleep: Pretty disrupted again, between needing the toilet and being a very light sleeper, I have to rely on naps right now although little missy loves disturbing me being so active all day and night!
Best moment this week: Knowing just how soon we'll meet our princess, oh and ordering a few more baby clothes...I know, we don't need any! But they are bigger sizes in my defence! :)
Got my hair did. Chopped off around 4-5 inches and boy did it need it!! | Can't wait until I can see my feet again, I just feel huge now!
Miss anything? Sleeping in any position and being comfortable! We're nearly at the end so I'll stop moaning now.
Food cravings: Still lots of ice and Dandelion and Burdock!
Anything making you queasy or sick? Fishy smells, yuck.
Gender: Girl!
Labour signs: Still the same as last week, a few inconsistent signs such as period pains, absolutely tons of intense Braxton Hicks and back pain. All fizzle after a while and then I feel fine again.
Symptoms: As above, plus increased discharge (TMI sorry!), lots of lightening pain, heartburn and the same whinges from last week.
Ordered some new sleepsuits in bigger sizes from Matalan with a lovely 20% off, how cute are these? | Again, couldn't resist some basic essentials from Morrisons Nutmeg range, I love how good quality their kids range is for low prices.
Belly button in or out? It's even further out, wasn't sure it was possible but I hate the way it looks now!
Happy or moody most of the time: Fairly happy this week, but a very short fuse, unfortunate for my husband and passers by...whoops.
Looking forward to: My due date! I'm really hoping she doesn't keep us waiting much longer.

So that's it, 38 weeks today! As always, make sure to keep following me on Instagram and Twitter as I regularly update both accounts.

For those of you on Pinterest, I'm also loving that right now while I'm getting rather bored. Here's my boards in case you're interested.

Hope you all have a lovely week!
