Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick 815 Sweet Pea Review

Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick 815 Sweet Pea Review - £7.99 Boots & Superdrug (Currently 2 for £10)
Revlon is my favourite brand for lip products and if you saw my collection, I'm sure you'd agree. When I saw they launched their Ultra HD Lipstick in the UK, I looked everywhere for them to swatch. The shade 815 Sweet Pea looked most appealing to me.

If you read my recent post where I went shopping in Superdrug whilst they had a 3 for 2 offer, you may have read that I purchased yet more lip items that I don't need. My favourite Revlon lip products are the lip butters. I've got more than I care to admit and it's an easy formula to swipe and go. I would say the Ultra HD lipsticks are based on the lip butters but with slightly more pay off.

The packaging is the main negative point of the Ultra HD lipstick unfortunately. As others have mentioned, like all other lip products, you are able to wind down the product to the bottom so that you don't catch it on the lid. In this case, you have to be very careful so not to take a chunk of product off when you return the lid back on. Rather annoying. The rest of the design is nothing too exciting and actually I do prefer the lip butter packaging personally.

The product itself is just ok. I love the smell which is really sweet and reminds me of vanilla cupcakes! It is fairly pigmented and shade 815 Sweet Pea is a cool-toned, blue-based pink which is something I'd wear in the daytime as it's quite subtle on the lips. There is no drag when it's being applied but the finish is just average. The Ultra HD part? I'm not so sure where this comes into place, but it's an average product overall.

If you're a fan of the original Revlon Lip Butters then try this out, but for an amped up version of a lip balm, maybe this one isn't for you.

Have you tried the Revlon Ultra HD Lipsticks? What were your thoughts?

    1. Yeah it's a lovely shade and I'd buy more maybe if they were on offer but I've got too many similar things so probably won't! x
