Where have I been?

Hey everyone, for the past few days I've been away and I thought I'd share with you where I went, just in case any of you fancy a lovely, relaxing break away. I went to Aberaeron, which is in West Wales, just South West of Aberystwyth. It is by the sea, which was lovely and I could definitely live by the sea I've decided!

I found the place we stayed a couple of months ago when I was searching on Pitchup.com. I have used the site once before to book a camping pod. It was a great experience but me and my Boyfriend thought we'd try something different. After lots of searching, we came across Fisherman Cabins. The cabin is a beautiful, vibrant blue and I was even more shocked when I turned up and saw how beautifully decorated it was inside. Wow, the beds. They were seriously so comfortable. Forget the camping, beds are where it's at!

It had everything you could need, a little mini fridge, a kettle, toaster and a microwave. There was even a BBQ outside for us and a fire pit. Bliss. We were attached to another family but that didn't bother us too much until night time. I'm such a light sleeper and I could hear a bit too much!

It was heaven waking up and going to sleep by the sea and I couldn't have dreamt for better weather. The sunset was our favourite thing to watch when we were having dinner outside too. We made a little fire one of the nights on the beach and it was bliss. Rekorderlig and all I needed was marshmallows! I had to wait quite a while for my Boyfriend to make the fire, but shhh. It was a massive achievement for him..

One of the days we drove to the nearby town of New Quay (not to be confused with Newquay, Cornwall. Although just as beautiful I'm sure!). My dream came true, I saw a Dolphin in real life. Ever since I was a little girl I've wanted to see one up close, I'd never even seen one in an Aquarium so I was so happy. Obviously I tried my hardest to get a snap, but they were so unpredictable I only managed their tail...There were some lucky people in Kayaks that were really close to them, they're too cute.

This was our view from the edge of the garden, nearby Horses and a bit of the pretty private beach
Our door step to the beach.

I'd definitely go back here but think we were so lucky with the weather, if it stays like it is right now (fingers crossed) then it'd be perfect! The owners are incredibly lucky to live there and I wish it was a closer drive to us. It took around 3 1/2 hours to get there due to most of it not having motorway but it was well worth it.

If you want to stay at this particular place then the link is here and I couldn't recommend it enough if it's in your travelling distance.

Have you stayed somewhere different recently? Are you going on holiday soon?
