Etat Pur Salicylic Acid 70

Etat Pur Salicyclic Acid 70mg - RRP £9.40 for 15ml*

Etat Pur Salicyclic Acid 70

Etat Pur is rapidly becoming one of my favourite skincare brands, after my new Liz Earle obsession of course. I've been trying out a few Etat Pur products for the past few months and haven't been disappointed with any that I've tried. Salicyclic acid (that i cannot pronounce!) is mainly used for skin imperfections such as blemishes and blackheads. I use it for blackheads around my nose as I don't really have any skin issues. I can't say I've noticed them improving as such, but they definitely haven't worsened.

The word acid sounds pretty scary, especially when applying on your skin, but the name Salicyclic acid actually derives from the herb Meadowsweet, which gave its name to aspirin. The acid itself has been known to treat fever and pain but it also works wonders for your skin, who knew?!

I apply one drop as this is more than enough, once a day at the moment, twice if I remember around the nose area focusing on my blackheads. I used to use nose pore strips prior to this, but they never really worked for me either. I find the Salicyclic acid far superior for preventing further blackheads though. You can use the acid once or twice a day depending on how problematic your skin issue is.

In the bottle you get 15ml for £9.40. It sounds expensive since you only get a tiny amount but it does last ages. The amount you can see in the photo above represents the past 2 months consistent usage on average once a day so it hasn't gone down much. If you wanted to use this on your whole face, I imagine about 2-3 drops would be plenty.

As I've said, I'm really happy with Etat Pur and I'm on the lookout for some skin brightening skincare as Winter approaches! Have you tried Etat Pur Salicyclic acid? If you're on the lookout for something different to reduce your blemishes, why not give this a try?

    1. It really is, a cheaper skincare brand without failing on quality! It's made by the same company who make Bioderma :) x
