MUA Brow Kit

I bought this knowing full well I do not need a new eyebrow kit but was intrigued anyway. I'm not one for doing negative reviews but I wanted to throw my two pence worth anyway just to let you know what I thought. The kit made me really unimpressed when I first opened it and thought it looked quite tacky and although I'd briefly seen it online, I hoped the shades would be better in real life for me. They're not. Not one of them resemble my brows and although people suggested mixing the powders, it just ended up looking too fake and scouse brow for my liking.

The kit comes with 3 shades and a fixing "gel" which I can only describe as something that resembles wax but I found it to not fix or hold my brows in place in the slightest. The tweezers and little double ended brush it comes with aren't that great either. The brush isn't dense enough for me and lost its' shape after a few uses. I hate being so negative but I was looking forward to receiving this after so much hype. Unfortunately I don't have anything positive to say about this kit, with this order I also bought quite a few other things, everything else I love! MUA is still a brilliant brand and I look forward to their new products, but this one just isn't for me!

All in all, nothing will replace my Benefit Browzings and Vivo Brow Kit! Both opposite ends of the price scale, but I love both just as much. What do you think of brow kits, do you just use clear mascara or eyeshadow? As always, any recommendations are appreciated!

MUA Brow kit retails at £3.50 from Superdrug and the MUA store.

  1. I was really hoping this would be a great brow kit, I just wasn't sure about the clear gel when I saw it.

I recommend the elf studio eyebrow kit, it's only £3.75 and I love it!

  4. You can use these as neutral eye shadows if they don't work on your brows well enough! I wanted to try this, but now I am not so sure about it. Thank you for the review!

  5. I use the Sleek brow kit and I absolutely love it, looks wise it's identical to the Benefit brow zings. I've got review here :-http://www.pandorasbasket.com/2012/08/review-sleek-brow-kit-dark.html if you'd like to check it out :-)

    1. I personally didn't like it but you may do! It's still pretty cheap so you could always give it a go and like someone else recommended, use them as eyeshadows if they don't work for you x
