June Favourites

This month has been a great month for finding new favourites, I've tried quite a lot of new things and discovered some old favourites too! Here's what I've been loving, random too.

L-R - Topshop Highlighter, L'Oreal Lumi Magique Primer, L'Oreal Lumi Magique Foundation, Natural Collection Blusher Peach Melba, New CID Cosmetics Primer
These are the main makeup favourites that I've been using this month. I have done a few reviews of some of these items already but I just wanted to show you my favourites that I've been using daily or alternating each day. The Topshop highlighter is something that I can't live without now. You get so much product for the price and it looks like I've hardly used any so far.

The L'oreal Lumi Magique primer and foundation are new to my collection, but within minutes of using it, I fell in love with them both. The foundation is my current favourite and doesn't show up any of my dry patches, HOORAH!

The Natural Collections blusher is an old time favourite of my makeup bag, I re-discovered this recently after using this circa 2004/2005 and loving it then but finding new, more expensive products that wiggled its' way nicely into my makeup bag. This is a great match for my skin tone and I never knew I suited peach blusher colours! The lasting power isn't phenomenal, but it does the job. I find that, if you combine it with a great primer and foundation it lasts longer, but the product itself doesn't have great longevity. You can buy it for £1.99 - bargain, on the Boots website here.

The New CID primer is also a favourite over the past month, I'm alternating between this and the L'oreal Lumi Magique primer but love them both in different ways. The CID cosmetics primer glides on like a dream and it makes my makeup last a lot longer than normal. I've reviewed that here.

L-R - Dior Addict new perfume sample, Illamasqua Lipstick Eurydice, Impulse True Love Body Spray, Burts Bees Tinted Lip Balm.
I got the Dior Addict sample a few days ago from the Money Saving Expert freebie forum and loved it instantly. It's definitely very "me" and it lasted all day while I wore it to work! The 50ml Eau de Toilette is around £49 on the Boots website or Debenhams.

I blogged about the Illamasqua Lipstick here. It's very "in your face" but I love that! I only wear it when I want to make a statement but it's quite creamy with the right lip balm and lasts for a long time, even after eating and drinking.

Who remembers buying tons of Impulse body sprays when it was "cool" at school? Just me..? I loved them and recently found some lying around my bedroom unloved so I thought I'd throw them back into my handbag to freshen up during the day. Some of the scents are a bit too floral/musky but they're cheap enough and have a wide range of scents.

I reviewed the Burts Bees tinted lip balm when I first started blogging, My boyfriend got it for me as a surprise when I was saying how much I loved it (obviously the hint paid off!). I've already shown you how many lip balms I have, oops, but this one is great for at work when I can't wear lipstick. It's subtle with a hint of colour and so moisturising!

Hands up who has hayfever? Me. It's the bain of my life (Summer anyway) and I dread it every year. I've tried pills, nose sprays, eye drops, you name it I've tried it. Nothing seems to make it stop all day. The problem is that the majoritive of products are one a day. That's great, until you hit lunch time and you're still sneezing and rubbing your eyes so much they're stinging! These tablets are keeping me kind of hayfever free at the moment and I find that most pills have the same ingredients in, yet are all different prices. Naughty brands!

Lastly is my current favourite drink. Rubicon! The only place I can find it is in the Tesco World Foods aisle. This week I found a 6 pack of cans for £3.00, normally they are £0.56 each so I didn't save much, but every little helps! The mango one is the yummiest! Who's tried Rubicon? Is there any other ones I should try?

I'd love to see your monthly favourites so comment and leave me your links!

  9. You should if you love glowing looks. I previously used Benefit High Beam under my foundation to give me a glow, but this saves me hassle and money! It's great, I will pop a full review up in a few days :) x
