Big Sexy Hair

Big Sexy Hair What A Tease - Backcomb In A Bottle*

I have been testing this out for a couple of weeks now via Hairtrade and hate to write negative reviews, but me and Big Sexy Hair just didn't get on. I am not one for back combing my hair, both the process and the look but I thought I'd give it a go anyway, in hope of more volume and generally better looking hair.

The more I tried, the more I hated it. My hair went seriously matted, stiff (I also hate hairspray for this reason!) and I could not brush it out. Not a good look before you're about to leave the house - don't make the same mistake as me on your first try. I am sure it would be a brilliant product if you love hairspray to create volume with waves or curls, but I didn't get on with it at all.

I used it by lifting up sections of hair randomly at my roots and sprucing up my hair if you will. After having a major disaster with this the first time, I then gave it to my Sister to try, who has fine, thin hair. She absolutely loved it and I saw how much of a difference it made to her style. With me having thick hair naturally, I'm not sure I even need it. Either way, I won't be re-purchasing this.

If back combing is your thing but you don't want to destroy your hair, I suggest giving this a go. You can purchase this on the Hairtrade website here for £14.93 (RRP is £17.57 so you're saving a few quid!)

  1. I've never been able to backcomb my hair withint creating a big messy tangle. I'll have to keep this in mind for when I pop out next. Great review - you always have such honest reviews and I really like that!

  2. Exactly, that's why I avoid it. Thanks Rebecca :) lovely to read Aus blogs too! x
