Favourite current mix

Recently I've been trying out a new mix of foundation and highlighter during the sunny periods (i.e not for long). You may have seen I did a review of the Technic High Lights here and have really been loving it. It's lasted me such a long time and I don't see much of a difference between this and the Benefit High Beam version. Since I'm so pale normally and I don't always wear fake tan, I thought I'd use this to brighten up my face mixing it with a foundation that I'm running out of. I'm not so sure whether I'll re-purchase the healthy mix foundation as I've found much better since but in the meantime, I've been mixing it with the high lights for an all over glow.

They mix really well together and I wouldn't recommend this if you have oily skin, but for dry skin people like myself, especially pale too, this may give you a nice healthy glow (as the title suggests). I love the look that it gives and if you have the high beam version, give it a try and see what you think! Now we just need the sun to return in England please!

Have you tried mixing your favourite highlighter/primer with your foundation? What do you think?

Hope you're all having a great weekend so far, the weather is absolutely awful here. Today will be a day of chilling followed by the gym, followed by chilling!

I mix benefit moon beam with my foundation all the time =) Looks so nice when you do.

  4. Great idea! Lovely blog :) x

  5. I love this foundation. I use it all the time:):) xxx

  6. Is the foundation by itself any good? x

I love the coverage this foundation gives but it's too yellow for my skin tone! The Soap and Glory 'Bright here, Bright now' is really good for mixing in with your foundation! xxx

  8. I tried looking for it earlier and got confused and saw "glow job" but wasn't sure if that's what you said haha. Ah well, I'll look for it again! thank you! x

  9. hmm it's ok but it shows my dry patches a lot! it depends on your skin type but for a high street foundation, it's ok but I've heard the bourjois healthy mix serum is better! x

  10. I'm not so keen on it anymore but I'm mixing a lot of foundations at the moment so I'm not wasting the ones I don't like as much! It shows my dry patches too much and isn't very long lasting :( x
