The Porefessional

Do you know the feeling when there is a product that's doing the rounds in the bloggersphere and you know you need it in your life, but it seems to take forever to get round to it? Well, this happened with the Porefessional, I stalked it for a while, both on Benefit counters and on reviews, asking myself if I really needed it or if it was just for the sake of getting it. I found a great little set that came with the normal sized Porefessional, Erase Paste in medium and Girl Meets Pearl in miniature form. I told myself I was making a saving so I needed it, obviously.

I think the photo above is quite deceiving, it does come out a beige sort of colour but once blended into the skin it is completely translucent. I have quite small pores, but around my nose they are quite visible. I think if you have large pores you will need extra coverage. There has been some debate as to whether this is a primer or just simply a product purely for pores. I want to find another great primer so if anybody has any suggestions then please let me know!

As a primer, I haven't noticed much difference in lasting power with regards to my foundation, but I loved the silky feel on my skin. The fact that this is oil free is good but doesn't change much for me personally as my skin is dry. I don't think the product will suit everybody but the huge negative for me is the price, I think it's definitely overpriced and because of this reason, I probably won't re-purchase (although heads up, there is a freebie alert in the next issue of Glamour with the chance to received a mini Porefessional, That Gal primer or a mini Bad Lash. I'll be stocking up that way at £2 per issue!).

You can buy this from Benefit online here or if you want a little freebie or 2, you can get it in this little set from Boots here for the same price of £23.50 for 22ml.

What do you think? Have you tried the POREfessional?

Your tube seems to be a lot runnier than mine. Mines a lot more solid than that for some reason?
I love this primer and use it every day. I cant say it makes make-up last that much longer but it evens out skin tone amazingly and I find it leaves makeup looking really flawless :) xx

  2. Really?! Ah that's strange, maybe mine hits the sun in the day and melts a little but I'll keep an eye on that! It feels pretty amazing I must admit but doesn't change my make-up lasting power either! x
