Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation

As most beauty girls do, I panicked when I realised yesterday that I forgot foundation when I was staying over at my boyfriends. Stopping in the nearest Superdrug, I decided to get something reasonably cheap as I have others at home and just needed one for going out last night as I wasn't home. I'd seen that Rimmel had lauched a new foundation recently so decided to give it a try. I tried a sample from a magazine a few days ago and liked it, although the shade was so dark I had the nasty foundation death line. (Sure you all know what I mean!) The bottle has a bright orange lid which stands out. I wasn't overly impressed by the shades. As I'm pretty pale, I went for the lightest and noticed ivory was the lightest shade. I thought I'd try it anyway, it blended ok and for the majority it's been fine but I would ideally have liked one shade lower, but hey that's just being picky.

Anyway, it seems quite a light coverage which is great for me, with a nice scent as well that's a bonus! I've still not found that perfect foundation for me with my ultra pale skin but for now I'll keep looking! Has anybody else tried this? Any tips on the best foundation for pale, dry/normal skin?

Edit: I've had this now quite a few weeks so have a few more thoughts on it. I've compared it to the Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation and decided I prefer that! Even though I was unsure on the shades, when I've compared it to the Bourjois Healthy Mix, I felt that shade was more orange. I think I need to buy the shade lower definitely next time, but as for the Wake Me Up, it was great at first but then my t-zone went very oily and my face looked very "fake" and orange. I'm unsure what's happened but as for the sparkles everybody has mentioned in this foundation I'm yet to see it!

Would I re-purchase?

Probably not, I was so excited and loved my sample but with my skin tone and texture being quite off at the moment I will go back to my Bourjois Healthy Mix!
